Cutting those cords

Cords can never be cut with those who are your soul family.

When we spend time around others, we often absorb their energy and vibrations, almost like a vacuum. Have you ever gone home and felt emotions or sensations that seem to come out of nowhere? This could be the lingering impact of the people you've interacted with. Strong sexual or emotionally intense relationships, in particular, can leave energetic cords still attached to you. In Christianity, these connections are often referred to as "soul ties."

How can we break free from old soul ties, or as I like to call them, soul contracts? One common method involves envisioning these contracts being placed into a fire during meditation, allowing them to burn away. Another approach is using a piece of string—symbolically cutting it daily as a ritual to release the bond over time.

Science continues to reveal just how much the people around us influence our moods and behaviors. The more I delve into this research, the more I gain clarity about my own journey. It’s similar to being in a room full of people and catching a cold—it happens naturally, almost effortlessly. This is why prioritizing internal growth and practicing self-care are absolutely essential.

Have you ever encountered someone whose potential shines brightly, yet they seem content to follow the crowd? Are they doing it just to fit in, or have they been swept up by the contagious energy of their surroundings? This raises an important question: What kind of people are you surrounding yourself with? Are they individuals who inspire growth and build your character?

Here’s an example: You’re eager to grow and stay motivated, but you find yourself surrounded by people who constantly complain or gossip about others. Before you know it, you leave that environment only to realize you’ve started adopting the same negative habits. The company you keep has a profound impact on your mindset and actions. Choose wisely.
