HIgh Vibes

These days, there's a lot of talk about "raising your vibes." At first, I didn't really understand what it meant. I was told about it in passing, but it didn’t fully click with me. As I began exploring the concept, I realized that raising your vibes is all about shifting your energy to a higher, more positive state. At one point, I truly believed I was vibrating at a high frequency. I was eating healthy, practicing tai chi religiously—it had become both an obsession and a passion for me.

However, despite my efforts, I started to notice that my energy felt heavy. I didn’t feel the lightness that people talked about when raising their vibes. While I wasn’t someone who engaged much in gossip, I was surrounded by it constantly. And, truthfully, I wasn’t perfect either—far from it.

My life at the time felt like being back at school, where there were one set of rules for everyone else and a different, harsher set for me. If I reacted to unfairness, it was as if all hell would break loose. To this day, it feels like this “rule” still applies. I encounter antagonistic people who push and provoke, yet turn around and portray me as the problem. This dynamic not only creates conflict but also fuels triangulation with others I care about. High-vibe individuals often attract bullying because their energy and presence serve a unique purpose in the environment around them.

Time and time again, it always seemed to come from the very people I supported or spent countless hours listening to. Sadly, it didn’t surprise me anymore. An example of low-vibration behavior is when someone approaches me and claims that another person is acting out of ego, belittling someone by asking why they are "behaving like a mongrel." I was a disposable financial resource etc.

Wondering how to raise your vibes? Let’s explore some simple yet powerful ways to uplift your energy:

  • Avoid gossip: Instead, focus on meaningful and positive conversations that nurture your mind and soul.
  • Eat mindfully: Fuel your body with healthy foods that make you feel good—whatever that looks like for you in today’s world of ever-changing diets.
  • Try natural boosters: Personally, I enjoy adding lion’s mane mushroom to my drinks—it helps clear mental fog and combats fatigue.
  • Connect with nature: Spend time outdoors, whether it’s a walk in the park or a car camping adventure (even if it leads to a quick escape to a nearby layby when the wilderness feels a bit too wild!).
  • Move your body: Regular exercise is a fantastic way to keep your energy flowing.
  • Meditate: Take time to center yourself and quiet your mind.
  • Explore Tai Chi: This gentle practice is a personal favorite of mine for balancing energy and improving focus.
  • Practice yoga: Stretch, strengthen, and ground yourself through yoga’s calming movements.
  • Reduce negativity: Limit your exposure to the news and other negative content—it can weigh heavily on your mind.
  • Dance and enjoy music: Let loose, feel the rhythm, and let music lift your spirits!

Raising your vibes doesn’t have to be complicated—small, intentional steps can make a big difference!
